SQL Database Setup – Pre-Course
The aim of this course is to provide a tutorial and instruction to get you ready before starting SQL courses. You’ll need to download and install Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and then download the database sample as a backup file to restore in SSMS.

Hardware

For Windows Users

The minimum requirements for installing SQL Server 2019

  • Your own computer or laptop device, including for example a Windows, Mac, or Linux-based.

  • Internet connection is stable, Power charge

  • Minimum 6 GB of available hard-disk space

  • Minimum 512 MB RAM

  • Minimum x64 Processor: 1.4 GHz

  • Operation System:

    • Windows 10 TH1 1507 or greater

    • Windows Server 2016 or greater

The minimum requirements for installing the latest version of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), are:

  • 1.8 GHz or faster x86 processor

  • Minimum 2 GB of RAM

  • Minimum of 2 GB up to 10 GB of available space

  • OS

    • Windows 8.1 (64-bit) or Windows 10 (64-bit) version 1607 (10.0.14393) or later

    • Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) or a later Windows Server version (64-bit)

  • Mac capacity, 4 or better 6 GB RAM can help you to run SQL Server 2019 image with a reasonable performance usin
